02, one of UK’s largest mobile phone operators, is planning to launch broadband over landlines in the country in the first half of 2007. Unlikely to be among the bigger broadband players, it could find a place in the second tier of smaller suppliers. The company has reportedly already begun offering broadband to a handful of valuable customers to test its quality.
