Japan-based telecom service provider NTT DoCoMo received approval for 100 per cent acquisition of Guam Cellular & Paging from the US regulatory authority, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This deal was sealed in March 2006, and is valued at $71.8 million. NTT DoCoMo would also provide additional $6.5 million to upgrade the company’s newly formed infrastructure.
