NTT DATA has entered a multi-year partnership with Ericsson to scale up deployments of private 5G, edge artificial intelligence (AI) and physical AI applications.
By combining Ericsson’s private 5G and edge platforms with NTT DATA’s full stack enterprise network services, wireless network capabilities, information technology and operational technology security, and managed services, the companies aim to deliver industry ready solutions. These solutions are intended to help enterprises deploy private 5G networks and achieve business outcomes at a global scale.
The partnership will focus on four key areas. These include delivering global private 5G managed services at scale, embedding AI directly into enterprise connectivity, developing repeatable industry specific solutions, and adopting a unified global go to market strategy.
Further, NTT DATA and Ericsson plan to target high impact use cases across sectors such as manufacturing, transportation, ports and logistics, energy and mining, and smart cities.
