Nokia, which had committed an investment of $150 million over five years, has decided to invest a further $75 million during 2008 in its manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur, Chennai.

Nokia, which had committed an investment of $150 million over five years, has decided to invest a further $75 million during 2008 in its manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur, Chennai. The fresh fund infusion is intended to increase the capacity of the plant so as to cater to the growing needs of local as well emerging markets. Nokia also intends to improve its product portfolio. The company has so far invested $210 million in its India operations.
