Nokia said it is actively expanding in enterprise, data centre, and hyperscaler segments to power future growth. Nokia is also creating a digital twin of its network operations centre (NOC), enabling telecom operators to simulate, configure, and apply network changes in real time.

The company is reportedly eyeing business with banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) firms first, followed by transport, utilities, and defence.

As per Nokia, Infinera complements Nokia’s data centre products with its terrestrial and subsea cable portfolio, making the combined entity an end-to-end solutions provider in this space.

Additionally, in March 2025, Nokia completed the $2.3 billion acquisition of US optical gear maker Infinera to deepen its reach with webscalers and enterprise customers.

Additionally, the equipment manufacturer has begun work on a millimetre-wave (mmWave) 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) product that will deliver higher broadband speeds to end users.

Beyond this, Nokia is advancing fibre to enable ultra-fast speeds and is extensively deploying artificial intelligence for predictive analytics, traffic and load management, and anomaly detection across networks.
