Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has won a Rs 3 billion contract from Aircel to build and operate a greenfield GSM network in Kolkata.

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has won a Rs 3 billion contract from Aircel to build and operate a greenfield GSM network in Kolkata. Nokia can now supply GSM/EDGE equipment as well as managed services, including operations and maintenance of Aircel’s network infrastructure. The partnership will help Aircel reduce its operating expenditure. The new network will be ready for commercial operations by December 2007.
