Nokia Siemens Networks has bagged a contract from Yunnan CTC, a branch of China Unicom, to supply and implement carrier Ethernet switches in China’s south-western province of Yunnan.

Nokia Siemens Networks has bagged a contract from Yunnan CTC, a branch of China Unicom, to supply and implement carrier Ethernet switches in China’s south-western province of Yunnan. The SURPASS hiD 6650 carrier-grade Ethernet switches will enable Yunnan CTC to enhance and optimise its existing network. It will also allow the Chinese company to offer residential and business services, ranging from telephony to video-on-demand to virtual private networks on a single network.
