Nokia has reported an operating profit of €714 million ($729.71 million) for the quarter ended (QE) June 30, 2022 of calendar year 2022 (CY 2022). The growth witnessed in the operating profit is mainly on the account of strong demand for 5G gear from phone companies.

However, the company’s comparable operating margin fell to 12.2 per cent from 12.8 per cent due to timing effects of contract renewals and a one-off software deal last year.

Meanwhile, the network infrastructure grew 12 per cent in constant currency in the second quarter, driven by strong demand in both fixed and submarine networks. The net sales grew for the company surged by 11 per cent to €5.87 billion.
