
Nokia has launched the E 7 smartphone for Indian users. Priced at Rs 29,999, the key features of the device include a 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a four line full QWERTY keyboard, built-in VPN connectivity and an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash. Other features include HDMI connectivity to project files, videos and images onto large screens, 16 gigabytes on-board flash memory, easy file sharing via USB connectivity, an in-built Adobe Reader and over 10,000 pieces of localised content for India.
D. Shivakumar, vice president and managing director, Nokia India and actor Shahrukh Khan were present at the launch.
According to D. Shivakumar, ?The smartphone market in India is witnessing phenomenal growth. Trends such as 3G, social networking and video will further drive this growth in the coming years. The Nokia E7 is an all-in-one business smartphone that offers a mobile office experience coupled with various entertainment options.?
Nokia has also tied up with Vodafone to offer 2 GB of data per month free for six months. The offer is applicable on 3G and 2G (for both pre-paid and post paid consumers). The consumers have to insert their Vodafone SIM card to activate the offer.
