Nokia has appointed Marco Wirén as chief finance officer (CFO), with effect from September 1, 2020. He would replace the current CFO Kristian Pullola. Wirén would also come onboard as a member of the group leadership team.

As part of his new role, Wirén will be based at the company’s headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

At present, he is serving as the president of Wärtsilä Energy and executive vice president of Wärtsilä Group. Wirén also holds the position of vice board chair of Neste.

In terms of qualifications, Wirén has done M.Sc. in business administration from the University of Uppsala.

In the past too, Wirén has held the CFO and other senior financial positions. He was the CFO of Wärtsilä Group, SSAB Group, and Eltel Networks.
