Nepal Telecom (NT) has selected Gilat Satellite Networks to provide it with the latter’s SkyEdge broadband VSAT communica tions network.

Nepal Telecom (NT) has selected Gilat Satellite Networks to provide it with the latter’s SkyEdge broadband VSAT communications network. The operator will use the new VSAT network to provide broadband internet access in remote parts of the country, and offer toll-free voice telephony services as per its universal service obligation. In addition, NT has selected Gilat’s SkyAbis cellular backhaul solution to extend the range of its GSM and CDMA services.
