NEC will be developing and providing the long-term-evolution (LTE) advanced high-capacity base station equipment for NTT DOCOMO.
The LTE advanced high-capacity base station equipment will support TATA DOCOMO?s proposed LTE-advanced communications system. The equipment supplied by NEC will help the operator achieve higher speed transmissions and efficient use of radio resources through the use of carrier aggregation technology.
NEC will also be developing low power small optical remote radio equipment for small cell base stations deployed by NTT DOCOMO in densely populated areas.
