NEC Corporation has set up its first global 5G open radio access networks (ORAN) laboratory in Chennai.
The lab is part of NEC’s plan of ‘In India for India and from India for Global’.
The Chennai lab will support the global as well as the Indian market. It will complement the operations of NEC’s center of excellence in the UK. Further, the lab will also work with NEC Japan’s team to leverage the knowledge and best practices across geographies.
