Navneet Sharma, Chief Operating Officer, ACT Enterprise
Navneet Sharma brings over two decades of experience in the telecom and digital services industry, having held leadership roles across reputed organisations. He is currently the chief operating officer at ACT Fibernet, where he leads growth across the enterprise and small and medium enterprises (SME) segments. His mandate includes driving expansion into new cities and strengthening digital transformation across sales effectiveness, lead conversion and customer engagement.
Before joining ACT, Sharma held large P&L roles in telecom and technology, including chief executive officer of Airtel’s Gujarat circle and, later, chief business officer at Unacademy. These roles, he says, shaped his approach to customer-centric strategy, business scale-up and building high-performing teams.
Sharma highlights that ACT continues to invest in advanced technology to deliver secure, reliable and high-performance connectivity for businesses. “At ACT, we continuously upgrade our platforms and service tools to offer world-class broadband and managed services,” he says.
ACT’s AI-enabled SmartWiFi improves network performance through intelligent optimisation and automated band steering. The company has also built a robust managed Wi-Fi platform serving diverse segments. Additionally, ACT partners with global OEMs to deliver SD-WAN and advanced security solutions, enabling businesses – especially SMEs – to simplify network management while enhancing reliability and scalability. “For SMEs, dependable connectivity and quick support are as important as speed,” Sharma notes.
Sharma sees India’s broadband industry entering a strong growth phase, driven by SMEs adopting digital tools, SaaS platforms and cloud-led workflows. He expects rising demand for high-capacity fibre, managed Wi-Fi, secure access and integrated connectivity bundles that combine SmartWi-Fi, SD-WAN, security and analytics into a single offering.
He adds that AI-driven network monitoring and predictive diagnostics will soon become the industry standard, helping providers improve uptime and deliver consistent performance. Sustainability will also gain prominence as operators modernise networks and adopt more energy-efficient infrastructure.
Sharma describes his leadership style as collaborative, empowering and strongly result-oriented. “Strong outcomes come from strong teams. I focus on clarity, ownership and disciplined execution,” he says.
Outside work, he enjoys spending time with family, reading biographies, travelling, long-distance running and mentoring young professionals.
