Bharti Airtel has announced that it has extended its 5G coverage to all districts of Uttar Pradesh West, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra within one year of its launch. Within one year, Airtel’s 5G service is now available across all districts and union territories in the country.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a high speed fibre-to-the-home internet service in Kaza, Himachal Pradesh. According to BSNL, 35 4G network towers are set to be installed in Spiti, with six towers already in place. Additionally, 625 mobile towers are planned for installation in Himachal Pradesh, covering and providing mobile network services in approximately 2,700 villages with no existing network facility.

Vi has implemented a VoLTE monitoring solution of Anritsu to provide superior experience to Vi users with faster call connectivity and crystal clear sound quality, and an enhanced view of VoLTE service-specific insights.
BSNL has announced its plans to launch 4G services in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, among other southern states. The service is planned to begin in December 2023. The company has mapped large parts of these states for tower installation, including over 4,200 4G sites in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Airtel has announced that it has connected the Zanskar valley in Kargil district with its Airtel 5G Plus service. This makes Airtel the only operator to offer 5G services in the Zanskar valley. Airtel 5G Plus is available across all districts in the Union Territory of Ladakh and all 25 villages in the Zanskar valley can now enjoy the power of 5G as enjoyed by millions of Indians.
BSNL has launched “BSNL Chatbot” service on WhatsApp to streamline its customer service. The chatbot allows BSNL customers to book a new connection, pay landline/fibre-to-the-home bills online, view and download invoices and check usage, register complaints and check their status, change an existing plan and review transaction history.
