MTS India, the mobile telephony services brand of SSTL, has signed an IT services agreement with IBM according to which the latter will design and build two green data centres, one each in Chennai and Gurgaon.

MTS India, the mobile telephony services brand of SSTL, has signed an IT services agreement with IBM according to which the latter will design and build two green data centres, one each in Chennai and Gurgaon. According to MTS, the energyefficient green data centres will help SSTL achieve 20 per cent energy savings. While the Chennai site will serve as the main data centre for SSTL, the one in Gurgaon will be the company’s disaster recovery site.
