Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has reported a widening of losses to Rs 7.37 billion on a standalone basis during the quarter ended (QE) September 2022. The telco had recorded a loss of Rs 6.53 billion during the same period a year ago.
Meanwhile, the revenue from operations of the company declined 23.5 per cent year-on-year to Rs 2.20 billion during the reported quarter from Rs 2.88 billion a year ago. The telco’s finance cost was over two-and-half times its revenue at Rs 5.81 billion, while employees expense accounted for about 60 per cent of the total revenue at Rs 1.31 billion.
