MTNL posts a net loss of Rs 9.29 billion for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited has posted a net loss of Rs 9.29 billion for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011.

Its total income reduced by about eight per cent to Rs 8.74 billion in the quarter under consideration, from Rs 9.51 billion in the October-December 2011 quarter.

During the quarter, MTNL’s revenues from basic services stood at Rs 6.78 billion, while revenues from cellular services stood at Rs 1.80 billion.
