Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) plans to raise additional revenues by renting out its spare real estate space.
The operator is hopeful of raising Rs 1 billion by renting out land to interested parties.
To monetise its additional land space, MTNL has started examining the expression of interest floated by experts and consultants.
To further cut down its losses, the operator has also decided not to participate in the forthcoming 2G spectrum auction.
