
Motorola, whose mobility business has been fully acquired by Google is going to run its mobility business as a separate company in India.
Though the mobility business of Motorola is being owned by Google but the business operations are going to be kept separate. However, Motorola Mobility?s financial performance will be broken out as part of Google?s quarterly results. Also, Motorola will continue to be a licensee of Android.
In line with its global operations, Motorola in India too provides mobility solutions and sells mobile handsets. The company provides low-end as well as high-end mobile models like Motorola Moto Yuva priced around Rs 1,100 to Motorola Xoom priced around Rs 33,000.
The company feces tough competition from global handsets players such as Samsung and Nokia and the local companies including Micromax and Lava.
