Vietnam-based smartphone manufacturer Mobiistar has appointed Hardeep Singh Johar as VP, sales, for north and east India. Johar will be focusing primarily on strategic business expansion, and customer and distributor relationship management as the brand is planning to venture into the offline segment. In the past, Johar has been associated with brands like Gionee, Tata Teleservices, Bharti Airtel, Aircel, Philips, Godrej and Titan in various capacities. Mobiistar has also appointed Aniruddha Deb as chief marketing officer (CMO). Earlier, he worked as VP of integrated services at the Cheil Southwest Asia headquarters where he lead Marcom for Samsung’s hand-held products and corporate strategy for the Cheil Southwest Asia region. In the past, he has worked as regional business director at Lowe; and as VP at both Ogilvy and Publicis India.
