
US-based Microsoft Corporation will start offering its commercial cloud services, Azure and Office 365, from local data centres in India by end-2015. The company is planning to partner with the Indian enterprises, government, and entrepreneurs for providing cloud services.
With the launch, Microsoft will become the first foreign company to set up a data centre in the country. At present, Microsoft has 13 data centres globally to provide its cloud services. Microsoft has only one data centre in Asia, which is located in Singapore.
