Microsoft Corporation has appointed Amy Hood as the chief financial officer (CFO) of the company. She is going to succeed Peter Klein.

Prior to assuming the new role, Hood was leading Microsoft?s business vertical called Microsoft Business Division (MBD) as the CFO.  She was responsible for financial strategy, management and reporting functions for the MBD business worth $24.1 billion.

Hood joined Microsoft Corporation in December 2002 and was an integral part of the team which led the company?s acquisition of Skype and Yammer.
