Microsoft has appointed Puneet Chandok as the new corporate vice president for India and South. He will assume his operational responsibilities from Anant Maheshwari on September 1, 2023.

Chandok’s main responsibility would be to oversee the integration of Microsoft’s businesses across South Asian countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, while further boosting their presence in the region. He will also focus on deepening the company’s focus on key industries with generative artificial intelligence (AI) through a customer-centric approach.

Chandok previously led Amazon Web Services (AWS) India and South Asia business, while working closely with enterprises, digital companies, startups and small and medium businesses. He has also worked as partner at McKinsey in India and Asia, holding a senior regional and global role at IBM before that.
