Micron to collaborate with Indian government to set up a centre of excellence

As per industry sources, Micron Technologies is collaborating with the government of India to set up a centre of excellence.

Micron is one of only three major DRAM suppliers in the world and also manufactures NAND memory chips along with SSD, graphics memory and 3D NAND and LPDDR5 DRAM for 4G and 5G smartphones.

At present, Micron has front-end fabs manufacturing facilities in Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and the US. Meanwhile, its back-end manufacturing facilities are in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and China.
