
Micromax has introduced its first device that is being powered by Windows 8.1 operating system. So far, the handset manufacturer?s product portfolio included devices functioning on Google?s Android operating system.
The new launches include Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092 smartphones, priced at Rs 9,500 and Rs 6,500 respectively.
The Canvas Win W121 features a 5 inch screen and supports dual cameras (a 8 megapixel rear and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera). Meanwhile, the Canvas Win W092 sports a 4 inch screen and dual cameras (a 5 megapixel rear and a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera).
Further, both the devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC processor and support dual SIM cards. The smartphones offer 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB through a microSD card.
In addition, the Canvas Win W121 and the Canvas Win W092 support technologies such as 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/Edge, micro-USB and bluetooth.
