
Micromax is planning to introduce a low-cost smartphone, the Bolt A40.
The smartphone will function on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and will be powered by 1 GHz spreadtrum SC6820 processor.
The Bolt A40 will pack in a 4.5-inch screen, 512 MB of RAM, and 512 MB of inbuilt storage which will be expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The smartphone also supports dual SIMs and cameras (a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera).
Micromax is yet to announce the price of the new smartphone.
