
Micromax Informatics Limited has launched the Yu Yureka smartphone, the first device of its Cyanogen-based Yu brand, in India. The dual-SIM smartphone has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 267 ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor and runs on Cyanogen OS 11 operating system. Further, Yu Yureka has 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB through a microSD card.
It features a 13 megapixel Sony Exmor CMOS sensor primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and flash. It also has a 5 megapixel fixed-focus front camera. The smartphone offers connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS.
Priced at Rs 8,999, the Yu Yureka smartphone will be available for sale on the e-commerce portal of Amazon India.
