Indian smartphone player, Micromax Informatics Limited has appointed Ashish Agrawal as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
In this role, Agrawal will be leading the technology initiatives for Micromax to bring these initiatives into the market. He will also be responsible for defining the vision and the direction of software services, and driving new initiatives to provide a strong impetus to brand Micromax to pursue its aim to be one of the biggest companies.
Prior to joining Micromax, he served as the CTO with Sirqul where he was instrumental in creating product definition, execution and adoption of Sirqul?s suite of mobile engagement products and services. Agrawal is an international technology executive with 16 years of experience in web services, mobile, e-commerce, payments and large scale distributed systems. He has spent 14 years in Amazon in software development, product development and technology leadership roles.
