Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the innovation development upskilling (Indus) IoS kit, a single-board Internet of Things platform developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing in Bengaluru.

The Indus IoS kit consists of six sensors, actuators, connectivity interfaces, and debugging interfaces and are about the size of a credit card.

These kits will facilitate the development of local and smart solutions in a range of applications, including drones. Indus IoT kit will be available on government eMarketplace in the near future for Rs 2,500 per unit.

The C-DAC is considering transferring this technology to startups for commercial production.
