The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has invited an expression of interest (EOI) seeking proposals from autonomous government-recognised institutions, research and development (R&D) organisations and startups to establish a National Sensor Hub for various applications.
According to MeitY, the applicants would receive benefits such as translations of research from the laboratory to the market, transfer of technology of R&D outcome, mentorship of startups/researchers, opportunity to avail government funding, and royalty for successful integration of technology developed by them.
The ministry has mandated all applicants to collaborate with an industry partner and have at least a proof of concept ready during application. The last date to send the proposal has been extended to August 31, 2022.
