Maya Nair has joined Idea Cellular as head, information security. Prior to this, Nair was assistant vice-president (VP), security operations at Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited’s (RJIL). Prior to working with RJIL, she worked with credit rating agency Credit Information Bureau India Limited (CIBIL) as assistant VP for around 10 years, and was instrumental in protecting CIBIL from external and internal attacks. She also set up the business continuity process and the disaster recovery (DR) site for CIBIL. Nair is an information security professional with around 18 years of work experience. She is a certified information system auditor (CISA), a certified ISMS lead auditor for ISO 27001 and BS 25999 lead implementer, and is ITIL V3 foundation certified.
