Maxis Communications Berhad has signed an agreement with Ericsson whereby the latter will manage and operate Maxis’s WCDMA/HSPA multi-vendor network and equipment.

Maxis Communications Berhad has signed an agreement with Ericsson whereby the latter will manage and operate Maxis’s WCDMA/HSPA multi-vendor network and equipment. Maxis is reportedly expanding 3G and wireless residential broadband services to major cities in the central, eastern and southern parts of peninsular Malaysia. The agreement will enable Maxis to enhance its broadband service quality and speed. Network expansion work has started, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2007.
