Malaysian fixed line incumbent Telekom Malaysia is in the process of expanding the coverage of its high speed broadband (HSBB) network. The operator will be launching commercial HSBB services at 18 more exchanges by end-July 2010, adding to the four exchanges where it already offers speeds of up to 20 Mbps. Both residential and industrial zones are included in the new regions of operation. The company has spent a total of $695 million on the HSBB project as of May 2010, and the network rollout has reached around 375,000 premises, with around 3,200 having signed up for high speed services so far.
