
Malaysian cellular operator DiGi Telecommunications has signed a mobile virtual network operator agreement with Baraka Telecom. According to the deal, DiGi will allow Baraka to provide voice and data services over its nationwide GSM network. The contract also includes an option that allows Baraka to expand the scope of the agreement in the future to include 3G services as well. The deal will be in effect for three years from the date of Baraka’s commercial launch, and could be renewed for a further period of two years subject to the two companies agreeing on certain terms and conditions.
