The Manufacturer’s Association of Information Technology (MAIT) has appointed Amrit Jiwan, general counsel and senior director, Canon India Private Limited as its president. MAIT has also appointed Sanjay Lodha and Bhawna Agarwal as vice presidents.
Lodha is the chairman and managing director at Netweb Technologies, while Agarwal heads strategy and growth at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
Further, Jiwan brings on board a rich experience of 30 years. He has managed corporate functions such as legal, secretarial, tax, compliance, quality, environmental, health and safety management system (QEHS), product regulatory, and government affairs. As general counsel and senior director at Canon India Private Limited, he oversees legal, tax, product regulatory, and quality functions. Furthermore, his expertise includes contract management, legal risk mitigation, litigation, intellectual property enforcement, and government relations, further strengthened by his role as chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry, office automation and imaging (CII-OA&I) division.
As per MAIT, its past president Rajkumar Rishi, vice president (VP) and managing director (MD), CSB, India, Dell International Services India Private Limited, will continue as president emeritus. Meanwhile, Nitin Kunkolienker, former president emeritus, will continue to support MAIT’s initiatives as mentor.
