
Mahendra Nahata of Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited (HFCL) has finally agreed to sell his 36 per cent stake in telecom service provider Datacom Solutions to the Dhoot family which owns a 64 per cent stake in the company. While Nahata’s stake is valued at around $300 million, he has already received a “token payment” and the remaining amount is likely to be paid in tranches. Meanwhile, HFCL has engaged Morgan Stanley to find a strategic partner to fund the company’s rollout plans.
