Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is likely to roll out 3G mobile services by the end of the year. The company will soon float a Rs 5 billion tender for 750,000 3G lines each for the Delhi and Mumbai circles. Trial of the 3G service in Delhi will be started within two months. Services in Mumbai, however, will be rolled out in the first quarter of 2009.
