LG Electronics and Microsoft have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to form a strategic collaboration for mobile convergence. According to the MoU, the converged mobile device business will be reinforced through combining LG’s core competences in marketing and products in the mobile and IT sectors with Microsoft’s proficiency in the Windows Mobile OS, applications and services. The agreement aims to ensure continued strategic collaboration in R&D, marketing, applications and services in converged mobile devices.
