Lenovo is aiming to double its business in India over the next three years, driven by strong momentum in the Motorola smartphone segment and what it described as high double-digit growth in its infrastructure and services businesses.

According to the company’s Asia Pacific leadership, Lenovo’s future growth in India will be underpinned by rising domestic consumption as well as its ‘India for the world’ innovation strategy. The executive said Lenovo India ranks among the fastest-growing markets globally for the company, recording growth of over 20 per cent. He added that Lenovo is designing its mainstream servers in India, while a significant share of software development for Motorola smartphones is also being carried out locally.

On hiring plans, while no specific numbers were disclosed, the executive said Lenovo would continue to add resources proactively to support its expansion and long-term growth in the Indian market.
