Lenovo launches the A5000 smartphone at a price of Rs 9,999

Lenovo has introduced the A5000 smartphone in India for Rs 9,999.

The smartphone comes with a 5 inch HD display with a screen resolution of (720×1280) pixels and pixel density of 300ppi. It runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor with. The A5000 offers 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB through a microSD card. The smartphone supports dual SIM cards and cameras ? an 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.

For connectivity, the A5000 supports technologies such as GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. The smartphone is backed with a 4000mAh battery.
