Lenovo has launched the S850 smartphone priced at Rs 15,499 for the Indian market. The phone will be available across over 2000 of Lenovo?s retail outlets and other retail chains in India by end-June 2014.
The smartphone features a 1.3 GHz quad core processor combined with Android 4.4.2 OS. It is equipped with a 5-inch high definition screen and comes with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.
The device comes with new features such as the speakers being placed on both the sides of the phone to enchance the acoustic experience. It also supports gesture and motion-based enhancements added to the user interface to offer better one-hand usage.
The smartphone is loaded with the SECUREit app, which is security software that tracks, analyses and optimises the data usage. Lenovo claims that its SHAREit app provides high speed phone-to-phone data transfer without the requirement for Wifi or mobile network. Another app called SYNCit is loaded on the Lenovo S850, which offers permanent backup of all data and makes it accessible on any device.
