Mobile handset maker Lava aims to invest Rs 1 billion this year to enhance its research and development (R&D) capabilities.
According to S.N. Rai, co-founder and director, Lava International, the company will raise funds for this expansion via internal accruals and also plans to launch eight new handsets for Indian customers in the next few months.
The company is also eyeing revenues of Rs 15 billion this fiscal, from Rs 10 billion last year.
