Vodafone India and Idea Cellular, which recently announced the merger of their operations, have appointed Kumar Mangalam Birla as chairman of the merged entity. Further, as per the agreement, Vodafone India’s nominee will be the chief financial officer of the merged entity. The merger is expected to be completed over the next two years.
