July 4, 2012 | Archive News

Iraq-based mobile operator Korek has awarded a three year managed services contract to Ericsson. As per the deal, Ericsson will provide provisioning and field maintenance services, including day to day services, for Korek’s network in Baghdad.

As part of the agreement, Ericsson will aid Korek in achieving optimal network stability for its radio base station and microwave sites. It will also develop solutions for improving Korek’s network quality assurance and increasing customer satisfaction. Ericsson will help Korek in business and strategy development as well.

In the past, Ericsson has assisted Korek in deployment of a billing post-paid system for its customers and moving from 2G network to 3G and long-term-evolution technology.
