US-based, voice messaging and social media solutions firm Kirusa has acquired the start-up company Cooltok, which specialises in developing technologies for messaging applications for smartphones.
The six-member Cooltok team, including the founder and chief executive officer, Sreenivas Karanam and co-founders Prakash Kaja and Thomas Mathew, will be joining Kirusa?s office in Bengaluru. Besides the team, Kirusa has acquired all the technology and intellectual property rights held by Cooltok.
At present, Kirusa works with over 35 telecom operators across the globe.
