Keysight Technologies has introduced the InfiniiVision 1000 X-Series of oscilloscopes. The new low-cost oscilloscope series has 50-100 MHz models that come equipped with Keysight’s custom technology. The oscilloscopes deliver professional-level functionality and enable software analysis, which is facilitated by the device’s 6-in-1 instrument integration. The 1000 X-Series uses Keysight’s MegaZoom IV custom ASIC technology, which delivers an update rate of 50,000 waveforms per second. This makes it easier for the user to detect random and infrequent glitches and anomalies that similarly priced oscilloscopes might miss. The device also has a high sampling rate of up to 2 GSa per second. The oscilloscopes use segmented memory capability to maximise the memory depth while helping the scope to test faster.

According to Keysight, these oscilloscopes are ideal for new users and students as they are low cost, and learning how to use the scope and set up measurements is simple. Further, the device’s industry-standard front panel is easy to use and built-in features help to enable new users to quickly analyse signals to deliver results. The oscilloscope also comes with the educator’s resource kit, which includes built-in training signals, a comprehensive oscilloscope lab guide and an oscilloscope fundamentals slide set.

In addition, the 1000 X-Series features 24 typical oscilloscope measurements to quickly analyse signals and determine signal parameters. Further, it has the mask limit testing feature that helps users detect signal errors easily. The 1000 X-Series also supports decoding and analysis of a wide range of popular embedded and automotive serial bus applications, including I2C, SPI, UART/RS232, CAN and LIN.
