Kaynes Technology is planning to invest Rs 28 billion to set up a semiconductor OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) manufacturing and compound semiconductor facility in Telangana.
The facility will be built on a 40-acre parcel of land adjacent to Foxconn’s upcoming facility at Kongara Kalan in Ranga Reddy district and will create over 2,000 direct jobs.
Furthermore, the facility will be set up by Kaynes Semicon for its foray into OSAT/ATMP (assembly, testing, marking, and packaging) services. Kaynes Semicon will be supporting its global customers in quad flat no-lead (QFN), smart outline transistor (SOT), TO, ball grid array (BGA), FC BGA (flip chip plastic BGA) type of packages for power devices in the first three years.
