The Karnataka government has announced the ”Beyond Bengaluru” initiative, to push the expansion of the IT and telecom sector in geographical locations within the state, outside of Bengaluru.
Under the initiative, the government will be providing several incentives to companies to set up in cities like Mangaluru, Mysuru, Hubbali-Dharwad, Shivamogga, and other in order to build an innovation and technology ecosystem.
Beyond Bengaluru is enabled by the new IT policy 2020-2025 and aims at enhancing growth in the IT /ITeS, business processing outsourcing (BPO), electronic system design manufacturing (ESDM), and telecom sector industries located in these cities.
