Reliance Jio is reportedly in talks with Tesla to build a captive private network for the latter. These discussions are currently preliminary in nature and might progress only if Tesla confirms setting up a new manufacturing unit in India.
The captive network will manage all critical operations faster while providing car handling solutions, automating production processes, etc. A Jio spokesperson reportedly quoted that the telco is reaching out to companies in different industries with possible use cases, offering to build and manage their networks.
